Today was my first day of international internship. I didn't went abroad, I even got an internship in Oss, my own place of birth.
At 9 o'clock in the morning I had to be at Schuurman BV, this is an worldwide operating distributor. They serve the market of motorised Sport and Leisure with parts and services, which keep the market moving forward.
At first I got a little tour through the building and met everyone who works here. I got to know the people at the office some more because, I was sitting there together with my internship supervisor, Roseanne Westerdijk. She is giving me some assignments to do.
For example, today I had to make a newsletter for some items which are in sale. I had to make the newsletter in English because it is going to be send all over the world. They told me that they have customers from countries all over the world, Germany, France, the USA and even from Japan.
They get a lot of phonecalls through the day, so they have to speak in different languages. English of course, German, French and even someone speaks Italian.
I don't know yet what i have to do tommorow. I really do not mind coming here, everyone is very nice and they all want to help me with what I have to do.
Greets from Oss,
Faye
